its funny how much the weeks can vary from one another.
Malo, lo'u aiga!

What a week... i'll tell you about mine, then reply to what you emailed me. k? ok.

monday: we saw dorothy, and she got us all excited because she set another appointment with us for tuesday for a lesson and to sort out when her baptism would be, and she said she'd come to the YSA activity on friday and to church on sunday........ NO SUCH LUCK WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE.  she cancelled for tuesday, no show for friday or sunday. :( sad.

tuesday: met a few new families/people we could potentially teach. we have appt.s for this week set, so we hope to find them home.

wednesday:nada. nope. not much else happened. we did meet this guy Talie and when we knocked on their door, we heard him say "who is it?" and one of this young daughters said "Just two lovely girls!" haha it was cute. they are pretty busy during the week, so we hope to get lucky and catch them on a less busy night.

thrusday: zone training meeting. went well. sister H's uncle came and dropped off some food for us, and a WHOLE BOX of the sunkissed baby oranges. we've been eating them all week.  i got the package!!! It was like christmas all over again, opening it up and seeing what was in side. i opened it in the car after the meeting, while taking the district leader and his comp back to their flat.. .they obviously took 4 of the reeses pieces haaha!  I :LOVE the quilt! it makes me happy when i see it! and i'm very warm when i sleep now.. THANKS A MILLION! :)  we had a MCM with our WML thrusday night... he told me, "Keep learning the language. Try try try. otherwise i'll tell the mission president to send you to the Philippines." he thought it was funny.... i tried to not take it too seriously, but he is right... i DO need to learn the language....

friday: a dog bit sophia today at one of our potential investigators homes..... its a cute dog, but huge, and this is the second time it has jumped on her, this time it bit her. no punctures, but definitely a bruise. poor thing. it scared the crap outta me. not gonna lie, i just froze there when it all happened.

saturday: we walked and walked and walked. found a magic 8 ball. so naturally we took it.... and now it is our liahona. ;) kidding kidding, but it is fun to play with when deciding where to go. :) also papa was VERY drunk this day.  we went to visit him, he told us to come in, we were there for a few minutes, but the guy just rambled, and slurred everything.  We tried to leave with a good message, but he kept interrupting with, "blessed are da one who are da pure in da heart." over and over again. so we left. honestly, it is a miracle the guy is still alive... he had so much alcohol.

sunday. we walked and walked and walked.... again. i hate not having any appointments. its the no fun.  for fafaga, we ate at bishop's parent's house. we ate oka (the raw fish soup thing) and half-way cooked fish.... i couldn't do it. well i ate it, but it was gross, and i'm pretty sure i'll be getting sick from the partly cooked fish. we also had this salted beef thing..... they weren't kidding when they said salted. phew!  so needless to say taro is the saving grace that makes it possible for me to swallow any of the other yucky foods.  i'm sick of walking around... so we are really hoping for a better week.

so obviously we have experienced what a slow/empty week is like... we've come to the following conclusion:  we have met and talked with all the samoans with both good english and good samoan. now we have hit what we call the language barrier. neither of us have good enough samoan to portray what we want to say therefore the samoans don't give us the time of day.... so we are working on that... not sure how, but we are gonna try. thats all we can do.

sounds like yous all have a crazy busy week ahead!  wish you all luck with all you have to do!  and i hope you all get to make it to CO! Mason is still the cutest little stinker, eh?!  woop woop for mitch getting braces off soon, that stud muffin!  hope you're feeling better logan!!!

im sending a package today (little one) it has some little surprises for yous. let me know when you get it!

answers to moms questions...
1. Did you get your package? Did everything arrive safely? What did you think of what we sent?
yep! loved all the floss. with all the meat i eat here, it will be put to good use. and the resees are all gone thanks the the YSA FHE activity on friday night :)  they all say thanks.
2. Does your camera charger work with that battery or do I need to send the original one?
it should work, but i cant get it to for what ever reason... maybe see if you can find a charger you can put the battery into (one with a NZ cord would be even better!)
3. Do you still have plenty of contacts and solution?
yep, still solid on that! thanks!
4. Do they do daylight savings down there? yes....? i think so? but not for a few weeks i think. not sure why.
5.  Will you need sweaters? SURE! that sounds great! as long as they wont get stretched out too much b/c i dont have a dryer to put them in.  sweaters are always nice.
6. Did you ever here from Alena?
nope, not yet... you can give her my email address and we can contact that way! :)
7. Need anything from America?
nahh... i'm all good here. :) just the med refills haha

thats all for now, y'all!  miss you, love you, remember, blessings come your way every day, so open your eyes, see them and tell heavenly father you are grateful for them! :D

kid president: " you go air breathin' thru your nose, and your heart beat! (bump bump, bump bump)
smile! its good to be here on the earth."

alofa tele lava atu ia te outou!
